NikeSync

Nike

A new digital workout collection for athletes with periods.

Sportswear brands have a history of ignoring the fact that women’s bodies are fundamentally different to men’s. Evidence shows that understanding your body and adapting your training to your menstrual cycle can help improve performance. That’s why we partnered with Nike to create Nike Sync: a new digital workout collection for people with periods, helping you sync your training with the key phases of your cycle.

What we Delivered

The first-ever cycle syncing training collection on the Nike Training Club App.

We worked with global expert on female athletes, Dr. Stacy Sims, PhD, to develop digital workouts that are tailored to each phase of the menstrual cycle and help women learn more about their physiology.

In app, we published editorial content that leaned into key topics whilst also busting taboos with NAQs (Never Asked Questions). Nike Sync also featured on fashion model Adwoa Aboah’s podcast ‘The Gurls Talk,’ spreading the word to her 297k+ subscribers.

Making a Difference

The digital workout collection achieved a higher engagement rate than the average collection, and the Nike Training Club App saw a dramatic increase in female retained weekly members.

To top things off, Nike Sync was supported in social by female coaches and athletes all over the world - they helped to normalise conversations around periods and fitness. And in June 2022, Nike Sync took home the Cannes Lions Grand Prix award in the ‘Entertainment Lions for Sport, Diversity & Inclusion in Sport’ category.
